As of lately, I’ve developed a newfound love for stretching my hair with heat. Of course, with that love comes the responsibility of being safe while doing it. Today, I want to highlight a new favorite heat protectant for natural hair that I’ve been using to help shield my hair from heat damage: The Wizard by Amika.

With some products, I’ve experienced my hair feeling dry and broken immediately after blow-drying, but that’s never the case with The Wizard.

For me, this is key when considering hair care for Black women, as we often need extra attention to keep our hair nourished and protected while using heat.

But in my opinion, it’s worth every penny. You can count on your hair being protected, shiny, and bouncy after a blowout.
